Dr. David M. Johnson
Dr. Johnson is an AI specialist with 10+ years of experience at the cutting edge of research in machine learning, computer vision and data analytics. He received his PhD in machine learning from SUNY Buffalo, where he worked on the IARPA-sponsored Aggregative Contingent Estimation (ACE) project to develop machine learning technology for automatically collecting, refining and building upon human data analysis expertise. After graduating, he worked as a research fellow at the University of Michigan on the DARPA-funded Data Driven Discovery of Models (D3M) program, which seeks to build systems for automating the development of machine learning processing pipelines. He is now president and chief researcher of AI Solutions.
Dr. Richard N. Johnson
Dr. Richard Johnson has over 30 years of experience in manufacturing, materials and industrial research, including work for NASA and Northwestern University’s BIRL research lab. In recent years he has worked at IIT Research and Northern Illinois University on DOD and NIST-sponsored projects in 3D additive manufacturing technology and process control. He also worked with the US Army to create the Rapid Optimization of Commercial Knowledge (ROCK) program, which works with regional industries in Rockford and northern Illinois to enable more efficient utilization and adaptation of new industrial technologies. He now serves as AI Solutions’ chief manufacturing and industrial domain expert.
Dr. Karen Lee Friedman, M.d.
Dr. Friedman is a licensed radiologist and graduated from the University of Miami MD/PhD Program after obtaining her PhD in Microbiology from the University of Chicago with a specialty in genetics. She completed her Radiology Residency at Michael Reese Hospital, her internship at University of Chicago Hospitals, and a Postdoc at the University of Chicago. She has been a radiologist at Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago, a Clinical Associate/Geneticist at Michael Reese Hospital (Chicago) and was an Assistant Professor of Biology at Vassar College. She now works as AI Solutions’ chief biomedical specialist.
